Welcome to Painted Gypsy Farms.

The “gypsy horse” is a small-bodied draught breed with the gorgeousness of both color and talent. Bred for its capacity to handle small to medium workloads while maintaining the grace and stamina to entertain when not required to work. Through years of random and chance breeding an emergence of beauty and intelligence was born. In the breeds early years all breedings where word of mouth at best, documentation was not a gypsy’s traits. One might travel for days and stumble along what to them may be a dream stallion and perhaps chance breeding would occur. The Gypsy horse is a creation of necessity. Relied upon for its ability to adapt and perform daily tasks with little maintenance. As some of its predecessors would require a great deal of forage, the Gypsy horse has a surprisingly smaller appetite. Somewhere between a pony and a horse is a dream equine. That is the Gypsy horse.

 Dom a Gypsy Vanner Stallion

Established in 2002 as home to "DOM" our Gypsy Vanner Stallion, Painted Gypsy Farms has become home to some great horses. Always having a love for horses, the

Gypsy Vanner only amplifies this love. With color, grace and the ability to learn faster than most breeds the Gypsy Vanner has won our hearts. We are home to both Paint and Gypsy Vanner horses. We are committed to the breeding and sale of quality Paint and Gypsy Vanner horses.

Painted Gypsy Farms is dedicated to the breeding of select quality gypsy horses. As a small breeding facility we are able to concentrate on the “pin point” qualities we desire in each foal we produce.

Hey Rene,..... I am gonna be buying a gypsy colt.... Andre looked and realized that you also have the gypsies.... give me your email and I will send pics of the baby I am gonna buy and you can tell me what you think... His Sire is The Farmer Stallion, and his grand sire is the Old Horse of Whales... I am not sure if you know who these are but they are Stallions from Europe... He is only 1 week old and is a beauty... I cant get him for another 4 months, but he is my new investment.... There is a place here that has some of the original gypsies that were brought over...
